Dr.
M. Stuart Tessler was born and raised in Buffalo, NY.
He received his BS degree in Health Science from the
State University of New York at Buffalo in 1975. He
went on to receive a second BS degree in Visual Science
and his doctorate in 1979 from Pennsylvania College
of Optometry.
After graduation Dr. Tessler moved to Denver, Colorado
and built a thriving practice. In 1990 he was introduced
to a little-known optometric light therapy called Syntonics.
For the next seven years, Dr. Tessler explored the use
of light as a tool for the treatment of various vision
and eye-related problems.
During those years it became apparent that his patients
were often experiencing more than just changes in their
vision. Changes seemed to be occurring at much deeper
levels. People were reporting feeling more relaxed,
less stressed and functioning better. They were more
open and more receptive and seeing their lives with
a new, broader perspective. It was clear that he was
tapping into something that was changing the quality
of life of those he treated.
By 1997, Dr. Tessler had sold his optometric practice
to devote himself
to researching and refining this exciting new work.
From those efforts,
Fight or FLIGHT THERAPY™ was born.
